My all time favorite quote is from the movie Bram Stoker’s Dracula. In the movie, Jonathan is on the train heading to Transylvania to meet with the Count, and he's writing to his beloved Mina and he says, “It’s as if I have a part to play in a story that is not yet known to me.” I love this quote because it speaks to that part of me that wants to know my purpose in life, which I'm not sure we can ever really know. I’ve struggled with that question all of my life and I still don’t have an answer. Will I finally find out when my life in this form ends? Will I be reincarnated and start the cycle over again? What happens if I never figure it out? What if I’m doing it wrong? These questions sometimes plague me. Sometimes even paralyze me. Whenever I get going down this path I tell myself that the only thing I can do is be true to myself and do my best. If I do those things then how can I possibly go wrong?
Do you have a quote you live your life by or think of often? If so, what is it and why is it important to you?
